Whether intended or not, Mr. Bates' vacationing in the Bahamas at this time sends a message of apathy with respect to the shooting and Eric's life.At a time when we are still mourning the death of a loved one that he shot down in the street, Mr. Bates will be relaxing and enjoying his wealth and privilege.

上は、誤って射殺されたEric Harris氏の家族のコメント。私も全く同感です。ついでながら、前回このブログで、Bates氏へのインタビューの模様が、いかにもアメリカらしい光景ですと書きましたが、これはちょっとヤリ過ぎの感じがします。こうなると裁判では、執行猶予のない有罪判決を受けてほしいですね、心情的に。
